That ark.

Hi my lovely reader,  its been long since i wrote on my page, today i will write something different, am gonna pick my writting from the bible stories. Noah was one great man, perfect in his generations. He walked with God. So God told him to built this ark, it wasn’t raining when Noah was building this ark. I put myself in the shoes of another never told woman but mattered somehow. What was it to be Mrs Noah, she of the ark?
I tried to imagine how his neighbours would behave, dropping by to catch the latest tattles, barely hiding the smirks on their faces, and others cachinnating beyond control.
“ so what exactly are you building noah?”
The whole thing was ridiculous because it had never rained before, yet noah spent his whole time hours to built this ark length of hundred cubits and its width fifty cubits and its height thirty cubits. Since the bible is relatively silent on what mrs Noah thought about her husbands’ `big project’. We let our imaginations run wild.
Was she dismayed as the dry years rolled by with no proof that her husband’s dream or vision would be realised? Did she believe in her husbands big, audecious and hairy idea? And what of the family resources he may have diverted to what might have initially seemed like wack hubby or was or was she the stand by your man. It didnt matter in the end because when the rains came, Noahs ark was ready and Noahs family. Despite what everyone else thought or said, Noah had taken years to prepair the plan for his project.
From my story i have learnt a major important thing,Importance of planning. It can be planning in business, education in daily activities. This are as follow:
1.Planning helps reduce stress quotient. When i have a plan i have peace of mind knowing that i have a feasible plan to carter for whatever am doing.
2. Planning helps one to be prepared for obstacles because parts of planning process is creating a contigency pan for unexpected problems. Like  the case of Mrs noah, i can imagine the naysayers and the distractors from the plan said after the rains began.
3. planning helps to check your progress in work. In my life planning is so beneficial to my success. When i have a plan to follow am able to see my progress against plan and to correct it early incase the plan is not on the path.
Avoid the distractors in life the naysayers who distant you from your goals and vision. Set your goal. Plan how you can achieve them and i can tell you success will be at your doorstep!

As graduation excitements wanes…

Being in your 20’s is alot like hanging off the edge of a cliff. Faced with many uncertainities are constant odds. No need to panic!  You just have to focus on not dying and housting yourself. As a graduate fresh from campus you could be plopped into a new world and suddenly come face to face the slightly terrifying pressures of making something out of your life.
If you have a job; it is not even close to what you thought you would be doing. You are going to have a start at the bottom and you are scared. It worsens when you get payslip and notice that half of your salary has been slashed. Whoops! Huge tax deduction and loan repayment. This is where confusion starts. You feel like your friends are insincere and distant themselves but this is not the case maybe they are just confused as you are. Am taking about “the graduate”.
If you do not have a job yet, the excitement you had at graduation wanes and days goes by and you realise that you need to drop the CVs at offices. You are an adult and broke, what a terrible combination!
More dissapointment chip in when HELB reminds of its 5000 monthly.
Is it that we expect too much?
To the undergraduate out there,no one prepares you for post-university graduate revelations. Dream jobs dont exist and even finding one if you ain’t smart is virtually impossible. Higher education is becoming less distinguished. So think of working SMART.
We the youth prioritize on looks, body figure, fashion, jobs, careers, the places we would want to live in,getting rich quickly and so many name them you know what am talking about. In my opinion this is totally good. Not bad at all! But have worked smart enough?
I once attended a forum organized by ACCA Kenya, the speaker was one amazing person. He shared a clip “Did you know?” . It was of interesting facts happening in our world today. He then proceeded asking a simple question, ‘what makes you outstanding?’
Are you baked enough for the corporate world? or ready for the market?
Proffessional courses help much, infact they give your CVs a great boost. Enroll to one of them today, ACCA is one, i believe there are so many more in different fields and am telling you undergraduate student you won’t be disappointed. All the best this year. Be aggresive!
